About Smorg
Smorg was a digital magazine, but now, it's a website and a newsletter.
The name, in case you are interested, is a shortening of the word Smorgasbord. Which is my way of having free reign to cover whatever I want, be it Metal or Industrial music, to World Cinema and computer games. If I feel like covering it, I will.
As of today, 9th November 2024, this is all in the re-build process. The newsletter is free to join. In the future, there might be a paid option as well. But I haven't got that far into the planning yet.
Alongside the magazine side of things. I also have a little record label, called Chmcl Rcrds (Chemical Records), which I have started with Kevin Snell of the band Chmcl Str8jckt (hence the lack of vowels) and Tufty Hacka of the band Biohacker.
You can check us out via Bandcamp: https://chmclrcrds.bandcamp.com/
And that is mainly it. The music covered on this site is on the alternative side of things, be it Metal, Punk, Industrial, Alternative, Post Punk, EBM, Reggae etc... I also cover re-issues from certain labels, so anything can appear, bar the more modern side of the industry.
If you want to get in touch for coverage, here is my email: smorgmagazine@gmail.com And please, don't ask me to review a stream as your email will simply be ignored
